Committed to Road Maintenance – For Over 100 Years
Pioneering Work for the Austrian Asphalt Industry
The roots of Vialit Asphalt GmbH & Co. KG date back to 1928. Three years earlier, in 1925, the German Vialit Gesellschaft mbH was founded in Bonn-Beuel, Germany. Vialit Asphalt in Braunau, Upper Austria, became the company’s headquarters, and in the following years, numerous other Vialit branches were established on almost every continent.
The core mission of the Vialit Group has always been the development of road construction and maintenance methods. Economic, environmentally friendly, and efficient road maintenance is at the center of its activities. As an innovative specialist, Vialit consistently researches the development of road maintenance processes and asphalt innovations. A key focus is on the material bitumen emulsions, whose advancement to meet modern environmental requirements and expansion into new application areas is largely due to the decades-long research and development efforts of the Vialit Group.
Asphalt in Our Veins – Groundbreaking Products with Strong Future Potential
Vialit has been and remains a key player in the global asphalt industry. Whether bitumen emulsions or other product developments, we are at the forefront of innovation. It aligns with our vision of the future to continuously research forward-looking products. Notable examples include visionary innovations like RapsAsphalt and REaktivAsphalt.
Behind these developments are highly qualified employees, well-established structures, a willingness to invest, and a strong commitment to environmental responsibility. Vialit Asphalt is a member of numerous national and international organizations in road construction and actively participates in various expert committees by delegating representatives.
